Looking for a studio apt for rent in Las Vegas or one bedroom for $1000 (or less). There are a lot of apartment places that have that available but they all require monthly income of at least two times the rent or more. I can afford those rents but, I am retired and my only income is Social Security which is enough for the rent and even utilities but not enough to make twice the rent. However I have a rather large amount in savings to live on for quite a long time but the corporate landlords don't care about that, they are only interested in monthly income.
